Architect
Ms. Steele has been practicing architecture for 15 years. She joined AXO Architects in 2012. She has been the project manager/designer for several data center projects, and three AEP Transmission Operation Centers. Her earlier career included three years in Cleveland, Ohio where she completed multiple JCPenney buildings, mall renovations, and open air lifestyle centers, and two years for a small firm in Arlington, Virginia.
Ms. Steele’s career has been shaped by her diverse project types and education, which has led to her innovative and holistic approach to solving unique design challenges. Her overall project success is directly related to her proactive approach to understanding the project design criteria, her attention to detail, and her motivation to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
Ms. (Bahnij) Steele has an undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Mary Washington, and a Masters Degree in Architecture from The Catholic University of America.
Ms. Steele is a Registered Architect, and member of the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGCB).
